Extension Nutrition Specialist/Assistant Professor: The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources is seeking candidates for a 12-month, tenureleading, assistant professor faculty position located at the Panhandle Research and Extension Center, Scottsbluff, Nebraska. The appointment has a 75% extension and 25% research assignment. The successful candidate is expected to conduct applied research in nutrition education and nutritional behavioral changes for adults as well as plan, conduct and evaluate extension education programs related to nutrition, health and wellness. Panhandle Research Feedlot Position: The UNL Panhandle Research and Extension Center is looking for a part-time employee to work 20 hours per week, flexible schedule, weekdays, weekends and holidays. Employee will assist with daily duties at research feedlot as required by supervisor. Duties include mixing and delivering rations to research cattle, assisting in cattle processing, assisting in cattle movement, unloading commodity trucks, assist with fence repair (both pen sucker rod and pasture barbed wire), assist with cleaning pens, maintaining equipment, and driving truck to get corn. Must be 18, able to work outdoors and lift at least 50 pounds. Prefer previous livestock handling experience and/or farm equipment experience.
